HOW TO JOIN THE CLUB

Southend Sorcerers is a friendly sharing club, whose membership is made up of a wide range of ages and abilities, from complete beginners to full-time professionals. You’ll get the chance to learn and develop your magical knowledge and skills, and an opportunity to gain experience of practicing with real audiences. We have a junior section for those aged 12 and over, and a senior section which begins at age 16. Unlike some magical societies, our juniors are encouraged to take part in all the club’s activities, as we believe they can learn much more by performing and meeting alongside their senior colleagues.

If you’re considering joining, get in touch with one of our committee members (as listed on the 'contact us' page of this website) or fill out the form below and we'll arrange to meet you for an informal chat at a time and place to suit you. At that point we can tell you more about the club and find out a bit more about you and your interest in magic. Then we would suggest that you come along as a guest initially for a few of the regular meetings. After that, if you're happy that the club is right for you, there’s a small and painless audition to be completed in front of two committee members.

As a member you’ll receive a membership card, certificate and badge and be sent our monthly newsletter; you'll be entitled to free entry at all the club’s meetings and lectures; entitled to enter any of the club's various magic competitions; and eligible to perform at any of our public shows.
